Gypsum wallboard panel for interior wall and ceiling assemblies. The panel is built around a non-combustible gypsum core faced front and back with paper liner, the front face finished for taping, and the back liner sized for fastening to wood or steel framing.

The shorter 6 ft. length suits closets, soffits, stairwells, hallways and patch work where a full 8 ft. sheet is awkward to carry or has to be cut down anyway. Panels are scored and snapped with a utility knife, fastened with drywall screws or nails at the framing, then taped and finished with joint compound.

Thicker board of this class is normally chosen for ceilings and for partitions where added stiffness, fastener spacing or sound performance is called out by the assembly detail.
