Gator Supersand Bond is Alliance Gator's polymeric jointing sand for concrete paver and wet-cast slab joints, supplied here in the beige colour. It is a blend of calibrated sand and polymer binders: the sand is swept dry into the joints, consolidated with a plate compactor, then activated with water, and the binder cures to lock the grains into a firm but slightly flexible joint.

A cured polymeric joint does the work loose bedding sand cannot. It resists wash-out from rain, hose work and freeze-thaw movement, closes off the joint against weed seed and burrowing ants, and keeps the interlock between units intact so the field does not spread. Alliance Gator lists this grade for residential work over a traditional aggregate base, with a maximum joint width of 1 in.; it is not the product for pavers set over a concrete slab, where the company directs installers to Gator Maxx instead.

Installation is straightforward but unforgiving of moisture: the paver surface and the joints must be dry before sweeping, since a damp surface prematurely activates the polymer and leaves residue. The bag carries Alliance Gator's advanced haze-free technology and an ASTM C-144 gradation fine enough to fall into tight joints.
