Gator Hybrid Seal Low Gloss is a water-based sealer from Alliance Gator made with 100% pure high-grade acrylic and intended for dry cast concrete pavers. It penetrates into the pores of the paver and leaves a film on the surface that helps keep motor oil, grease and dirt out of the concrete and helps resist corrosion from de-icing salt and the effects of ultraviolet light.

The low gloss finish carries no color enhancement, so a sealed surface keeps the natural dry-look tone of the paver rather than the darker wet-look appearance produced by enhancing sealers. Because it is a film former, it also stabilizes the jointing sand, helping hold polymeric sand in place against washout and foot traffic.

Installation follows the usual sequence for paver sealing: strip old coatings and stains, replace contaminated joint sand and let it harden, remove efflorescence, and let the surface dry before sealing. Alliance Gator calls for a single coat sprayed in sections and back-rolled with a water-base foam roller to pull off puddles and excess, with the surface cool to the touch at application.
