Hip and ridge cap shingles are the finishing course for the peaks and hips of an asphalt shingle roof. Each piece is pre-cut and pre-scored so it folds cleanly over the ridge line, covering the cut edges of the field shingles and the exposed ridge nails beneath while shedding water to both slopes.

This bundle is a Pewter Gray blend intended to sit alongside gray-toned architectural or three-tab field shingles. Caps are installed last, nailed through the overlap area so each successive piece hides the fasteners of the one before it, working from the end of the ridge away from the prevailing wind.

Coverage is quoted in linear feet of ridge rather than square feet of deck, so quantities are estimated by adding up the total length of all ridges and hips on the roof.
