Extruded aluminum track for sliding and bypass door installations, supplied as a matched top and bottom set. The upper track carries the door hangers or rollers, while the lower channel or guide keeps the panel aligned at the floor so it cannot swing out of plane.

The mill finish is the natural, uncoated aluminum surface left by the extrusion process. It takes paint readily and is normally concealed behind casing, a valance, or the door panel itself once the opening is trimmed out. Aluminum will not rust, which suits the track to closet, pantry, and interior partition openings where a steel channel would eventually mark.

Track of this style is cut to the width of the finished opening with a miter saw and non-ferrous blade or a hacksaw, then fastened through the web into the header and the floor or sill.
