Screen moulding is a narrow, slightly rounded strip of trim used to conceal and hold the cut edge of window or door screening. After the screen cloth is stretched and stapled to the frame, the moulding is nailed over the staple line to hide the fasteners, protect the selvage edge and give the finished opening a clean reveal.

This is pattern #41, supplied in single 8 ft. lengths for cutting to fit. Because the profile is thin and flexible, it takes small-gauge brads or pins well and can be pulled and replaced when screening is re-stretched, which makes it a normal repair item on wood screen doors and porch panels.

The same small profile is often pressed into service as light-duty edge banding and as a filler strip for covering plywood edges, panel joints and other seams where a low, unobtrusive bead is wanted.
