A gutter end cap closes off the open end of a run of sectional gutter, stopping water from spilling out the terminus and directing it along the channel toward the outlet. This one is the right-hand version, meaning it fits the end of the run on the right as viewed from outside the building facing the gutter, and is finished in brown to match brown gutter and trim.

End caps are pressed to match the profile of the gutter they close, so the flange seats inside or over the gutter end and is fastened and sealed in place. Standard practice is to bed the cap in gutter sealant and secure it with pop rivets or sheet metal screws so the joint stays watertight as the gutter expands and contracts.

Sold individually, so a straight run needs a matching left-hand cap at the opposite end.

Key Features

• Right-hand end cap for closing the end of a sectional gutter run
• Brown finish for use with brown gutter, fascia and trim
• Formed to match the gutter profile so the cap seats squarely on the end of the section
• Flange accepts rivets or sheet metal screws and is bedded in gutter sealant for a watertight joint
• Closes off the run so water is carried toward the downspout outlet rather than over the end
• Sold each, so left- and right-hand caps are ordered separately as the run requires

Applications

• Terminating gutter runs on new residential gutter installations
