1-5-8-in-x-36-in-aluminum-door-sweep-gold-dsg36
1-5/8 in. x 36 in. Aluminum Door Sweep, Gold

A surface-mounted door sweep consisting of an extruded aluminum retainer with a flexible seal blade along its lower edge. The retainer screws to the face of the door at the bottom rail, and the blade rides against the threshold or sill to close the gap under a closed door.

The assembly blocks drafts, wind-driven rain, dust, insects and light at the bottom of the opening, and it is one of the simplest weatherization repairs on an existing door. Mounting slots allow the sweep to be raised or lowered slightly during installation so the blade contacts the sill without dragging hard enough to bind the door.

The aluminum extrusion is finished in gold, keeping it consistent with brass and gold-tone door hardware and kick plates.

Key Features

Extruded aluminum retainer with a flexible seal blade that bears on the threshold

Gold anodized-look finish to coordinate with brass-tone door hardware

Surface mounts to the face of the door bottom rail with screws, no mortising

Slotted fastener holes permit vertical adjustment so blade pressure can be set at installation

Aluminum body resists rust and holds its shape over repeated door swings

Can be cut to length with a hacksaw for narrower doors

Sold individually

Applications

Sealing the gap under exterior entry doors

Retrofit weatherization of existing doors to reduce drafts and air infiltration

Blocking dust, insects and light under garage service, basement and utility doors

Interior doors where sound or light transfer at the floor is a concern

Commercial and apartment entrances where a gold-tone finish matches existing hardware

Product Details

Type: Surface-mounted door sweep

Retainer Material: Aluminum

Finish: Gold

Mounting: Screw-applied to door face

Sold As: Each

Specifications

Dimensions

1-5/8" x 36"

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1012/7743/4195/files/1-5-8-in-x-36-in-aluminum-door-sweep-gold-dsg36.webp?v=1790734531
