Vinyl cove base is the resilient wall base used where flooring meets the wall, covering the expansion gap at the perimeter and protecting drywall from mops, carts and foot traffic. This is a coiled roll in black, supplied by the roll rather than in cut lengths.

Cove profile base has a curved toe at the bottom edge that closes against hard-surface flooring such as VCT, LVT, sheet vinyl or sealed concrete, so it sheds dirt and simplifies cleaning. Rolled goods let the installer run long walls without butt joints and cut outside and inside corners in the field.

Vinyl base is set in cove base adhesive troweled onto the wall, rolled flat and held at corners until grabbed. The material stays flexible, so it follows minor wall irregularities and can be warmed to form tight outside corners.

Key Features

• Cove profile with a curved toe that closes against hard-surface flooring
• Flexible vinyl construction that conforms to minor wall irregularities
• Black finish throughout the material, so scuffs do not expose a different core color
• Supplied as a continuous coil, reducing joints on long wall runs
• Installs with standard cove base adhesive over drywall, plaster, block or concrete
• Corners are cut, notched or heat-formed on site rather than requiring preformed pieces
• Non-absorbent surface that wipes down and resists mop water at the floor line

Applications

• Perimeter base for VCT, LVT and sheet vinyl flooring
• Corridors, classrooms and other high-traffic commercial interiors
• Retail sales floors and back-of-house areas
• Kitchens, restrooms and janitorial spaces where the base is washed down
• Basements and utility rooms over sealed concrete slabs
• Tenant fit-outs and renovation work replacing damaged wall base
