200 sq. ft. Ice and Water Barrier Roof Underlayment Roll
Self-adhering ice and water barrier used as a leak-protection underlayment beneath shingles, metal and other steep-slope roof coverings. The sheet is a rubberized asphalt membrane laminated to a slip-resistant top surface, with a release liner on the adhesive face that is peeled back as the roll is set into place.
Because the adhesive bonds directly to the deck and seals around driven fasteners, the membrane keeps water that backs up behind an ice dam or is driven by wind from reaching the sheathing. It is normally applied at the eaves, in valleys and around penetrations first, with the remaining field of the roof covered by conventional felt or synthetic underlayment.
Supplied as a single roll covering 200 square feet of deck before laps.
