custom-building-products-1-gal-acrylic-ceramic-tile-mastic-t1601g
Custom Building Products 1 Gal. Acrylic Ceramic Tile Mastic

A ready-mixed acrylic mastic for setting ceramic tile over prepared interior surfaces. Unlike thin-set mortar, mastic arrives pre-blended in the pail, so there is no powder to mix, no slaking period and no working-life clock once the lid comes off - the pail can be closed and used again on the next day's work.

Mastic is applied with a notched trowel and cures by air drying as the water in the emulsion leaves the adhesive. It is tacky on contact, which holds tile on vertical surfaces without slipping and makes it a common choice for wall work such as kitchen backsplashes and tub surrounds. Because it cures by drying rather than chemical hydration, it is intended for interior locations with limited or intermittent water exposure rather than continuously wet installations.

Key Features

Ready-mixed acrylic adhesive - no mixing water or powder required

Formulated for setting ceramic tile on prepared interior substrates

Grabs on contact to hold tile on vertical surfaces without sagging

Applied with a notched trowel sized to the tile being set

Cures by air drying rather than chemical hydration

Tools and hands clean up with water while the adhesive is still wet

Resealable pail allows the remainder to be kept for later work

Applications

Kitchen and bar backsplashes

Ceramic tile on interior walls

Tub and shower surround walls in dry-set areas of the wall field

Tile over prepared gypsum board, cement backer board and plaster

Repair and replacement of individual loose tiles

Interior residential and light commercial tile work

Product Details

Brand: Custom Building Products

Type: Ceramic tile mastic

Chemistry: Acrylic, water-based

Form: Ready-mixed paste

Application Method: Notched trowel

Cleanup: Water while wet

Use Location: Interior

Sold As: Each

Specifications

Material

Ceramic

Volume

1 GAL

Brand

Custom Building Products

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1012/7743/4195/files/custom-building-products-1-gal-acrylic-ceramic-tile-mastic-t1601g.webp?v=1790734629
https://arch-9365.myshopify.com/products/custom-building-products-1-gal-acrylic-ceramic-tile-mastic-t1601g
