metal-door-passage-lockset-mdlpa
Metal Door Passage Lockset

A passage lockset intended for hollow metal doors. Passage function means the latch is operated by the lever or knob from either side at all times, with no keyway and no locking mechanism, so the hardware simply holds the door closed against the strike and releases when the handle is turned.

Passage sets are the standard choice for openings that need a positive latch but no privacy or security, such as corridor doors, closets and utility rooms. Mounting follows the bored-hole pattern found in commercial metal door preparation, with a latch mortised into the door edge and a strike fastened to the frame.

Supplied as a single set of hardware for one door leaf.

Key Features

Passage function - latch retracts from both sides, no key and no locking button or turn

Spring-latch bolt returns to the extended position and catches the strike when the door closes

Designed for hollow metal doors prepared with a standard bored hole and edge latch mortise

Installs with a matching strike plate fastened to the door frame

Two-piece trim assembles through the door and is retained by through-bolts or mounting screws

Sold as an individual set covering one door opening

Applications

Interior corridor and office doors in commercial buildings

Closet, storage and janitor doors that require latching but not locking

Stairwell and vestibule doors where free passage is needed from both sides

Utility and mechanical rooms in metal-framed openings

Replacement of worn or damaged passage hardware on existing hollow metal doors

Product Details

Type: Passage lockset

Function: Passage - non-locking, non-keyed

Door Type: Metal door

Sold As: Each
