A solid core interior panel door blank, machined with a two-panel face and supplied as a slab for hanging in a new or existing jamb. Solid core construction gives the door noticeably more mass than a hollow core unit, which helps dampen sound transfer between rooms and gives a more substantial feel when the door is operated.

The 1-3/8 in. thickness is the standard interior door thickness, so the slab accepts common residential lockset and hinge hardware and fits standard interior jambs and split jamb kits. The face is smooth and paint-grade, ready for priming and finish coats once the slab has been fitted, mortised and bored.

As a slab, the door arrives without hinge mortises, bore holes or bevel, leaving the hand of swing, hinge locations and lock height to be set on site to match the existing opening.
