#68 11/16 in. x 5-1/2 in. x 10 ft. Oak Landing Tread
Landing tread is the transition piece that finishes the floor edge at the top of a staircase or at an intermediate landing. Its front edge is milled with a rounded nosing that matches the profile of the stair treads below, so the eye reads a continuous run from the last riser onto the landing floor.
The back portion of the board is rabbeted down to sit flush with finish flooring, letting hardwood, engineered plank or underlayment butt into it cleanly. This piece is milled from oak, a dense closed-grain hardwood that takes stain and clear finish evenly and holds a crisp nosing profile in a high-traffic area.
Profile #68 is a standard moulding pattern number, so replacement or additional lengths can be matched later on a remodel or repair.
