Cove moulding is a concave profile used to close the inside corner where two surfaces meet. It is most often run where a wall meets the ceiling as a light, low-profile alternative to crown, and along the base of cabinets, stair skirts and built-ins to hide the joint line and give a finished edge.

This is pattern #25 in a primed finish, so the face is already sealed and ready for filling, light sanding and a finish coat once installed. Priming also helps the piece stay dimensionally settled during handling and reduces the number of coats needed on site.

Inside corners are typically coped for a tight fit, outside corners mitred, and the piece fastened with finish nails into framing or blocking. Nail holes and joints are filled and sanded before painting.

Key Features

  • Concave cove profile for trimming inside corners and transitions
  • Factory-primed face ready for finish paint after filling and sanding
  • Small-radius profile that reads as a subtle detail rather than heavy crown
  • Takes finish nails and can be coped at inside corners and mitred at outside corners
  • Supplied in standard 8 ft. lengths for straightforward layout and scarf jointing
  • Sold by the piece, pattern #25
