A solid pine interior door slab with a traditional six-panel face, molded stile-and-rail construction on both sides. The 1-3/8 in. thickness is the standard for interior passage, bedroom, closet and bathroom openings in residential work.

Pine takes stain and paint readily, so the slab can be finished clear to show the grain or primed and painted to match existing trim. As an unmachined slab, it arrives without bore or hinge mortises, leaving the hand or hinge location, lockset backset and bore diameter to be set on site to match the existing jamb.

Doors of this size and panel pattern are commonly used as replacements in older homes where the existing frame stays in place, as well as in new interior partitions hung in a prehung or shop-assembled frame.
