#59 9/16 in. x 3-5/8 in. x 16 ft. FJ Primed Crown Moulding
Crown moulding is the sprung trim that closes the joint between wall and ceiling, installed at an angle so its back faces sit against both surfaces. Profile #59 is a traditional cove-and-step pattern, cut from finger-jointed softwood and factory primed so it is ready for caulk, filler and a finish coat once installed.
Finger-jointed stock is made by end-joining short clear lengths, which yields long, straight runs free of the knots and warp found in solid one-piece trim. The primer coat seals the wood and the glue lines, gives a uniform surface for paint, and makes the joints easier to fill and sand flush.
Sold as single lengths. Crown is coped or mitred at corners and typically fastened through the top and bottom nailing edges into plate, blocking or ceiling framing.
