Cove base is the flexible vinyl trim that finishes the joint where a finished floor meets the wall. The cove profile curves outward at the bottom, covering the floor edge and sealing the gap so mop water and debris cannot collect behind the trim. This roll is brown vinyl, supplied in continuous coil form.

Coil base is installed with cove base adhesive troweled onto the wall, and it conforms to minor wall irregularities as it is pressed into place. Because the material is continuous rather than cut into 4 ft. pieces, it runs long walls with fewer butt seams; outside and inside corners are formed by warming and notching the material on site.

Key Features

• Vinyl construction, resistant to scuffing, moisture and routine floor cleaning
• Cove profile with a curved toe that laps the floor edge and closes the wall-to-floor gap
• Brown finish
• Supplied as a continuous coil rather than individual pieces, reducing the number of seams on long runs
• Flexible enough to follow slight wall irregularities and to be formed around corners
• Installed with standard cove base adhesive over drywall, plaster, block or concrete
• Cuts cleanly with a utility knife or base shears, no painting or finishing required

Applications

• Finishing the wall base in commercial corridors, offices and classrooms
• Trimming out resilient tile, sheet vinyl and LVT installations
• Base trim in retail spaces, break rooms and restrooms where mopping is routine
• Basement and utility room walls where wood base is undesirable
• Renovation work replacing damaged or mismatched existing wall base
• Long uninterrupted wall runs where coil base minimizes joints
