Gator Rust Remover is a liquid spot treatment from Alliance Designer Products' Gator Clean line, formulated to dissolve rust staining on the surface of concrete pavers, wetcast units and natural stone. Rust marks on hardscape typically come from steel furniture legs, rebar and metal stakes left on the surface, iron-bearing irrigation or well water, and fertilizer granules broadcast across a patio or walkway; this product targets those iron oxide deposits rather than general soiling.

It is applied directly to the stain, left to soak for two to three minutes, scrubbed with a hard bristle brush and rinsed thoroughly with water, with the cycle repeated until the mark dissolves. The formula contains no muriatic acid. After treating individual spots, the manufacturer directs that the full paver surface be cleaned with Gator Efflorescence Cleaner so the treated areas blend into an even overall color.

Goggles and rubber gloves are called for during application, and the product should not be allowed to dry on the paver surface. Containers should be stored above 32 degrees F so the liquid does not freeze.
