Hip and ridge cap shingles are pre-cut, pre-formed cap pieces used to finish the hips and ridges of an asphalt shingle roof. Each piece bends over the peak and seals down with factory-applied adhesive, covering the cut ends of the field shingles and the ridge nailing line where the two roof planes meet.

This bundle is supplied in the Olde English Pewter colour, a grey blend intended to coordinate with grey-toned architectural and three-tab shingle fields. Cap shingles are installed last, working from the end of the ridge opposite the prevailing wind, with each piece lapped to conceal the fasteners of the one before it.

Coverage is sold by the linear foot of hip or ridge rather than by the square, so ridge and hip runs are measured and totalled before ordering.
