A vinyl stair tread cover sized for a single step, used to resurface and protect the walking surface of stairs in commercial and multi-family buildings. The molded body covers the tread face and wraps the front edge, taking the wear that would otherwise fall on the substrate underneath.

Square-nose treads are shaped for stairs with a flush, non-overhanging step edge, such as concrete pan stairs and steel stringer stairs with formed nosings. The tread is bonded down with an appropriate flooring adhesive and rolled or weighted until set. Black hides scuffs and soil in traffic areas and pairs with vinyl or rubber stair stringers and risers.

Vinyl treads are cut to length on site with a straightedge and utility knife, which lets a single stock length serve stairs of varying widths.

Key Features

• Vinyl construction for abrasion resistance on stair walking surfaces
• Square nose profile for steps without an overhanging edge
• Black finish throughout the body, so wear does not expose a contrasting core
• Molded nosing wraps the front edge of the tread, the area that takes the most wear
• Adhesive-applied over concrete, wood or metal stair substrates
• Trimmable on site with a utility knife to suit stair width
• Sold individually, one tread per step

• Concrete pan stairs in stairwells and back-of-house areas
