A vinyl stair tread is a molded covering applied over the horizontal walking surface of a step. It gives the stair a consistent, factory-finished wearing layer in place of exposed concrete, steel pan, or bare wood, and it renews worn treads in existing stairwells without rebuilding the framing.

This tread is a square-nose profile, which suits stairs where the riser meets the tread at a right angle with no projecting bullnose. It is finished in a brown bark tone and is supplied as a single tread, so runs are counted step by step.

Vinyl treads are installed with a troweled epoxy or contact-type stair tread adhesive over a clean, sound, level substrate. The resilient surface absorbs foot traffic, deadens sound, and can be swept and damp mopped as part of routine floor maintenance.
