48 in. Vinyl Stair Tread, Black, Round Nose
A moulded vinyl stair tread with a rounded nose profile, used as a wearing surface over concrete, steel pan or wood stairs. The single-piece tread covers the horizontal step and wraps the leading edge, giving the step a finished nosing without separate edge trim.
Vinyl treads are a common choice for commercial and multi-family stairwells because they resist scuffing, take foot traffic without finishing or sealing, and are cleaned with ordinary floor maintenance. They are set in tread adhesive over a clean, sound, level substrate and rolled or weighted until bonded; the black colour hides traffic marks in service stairs and back-of-house runs.
Treads are cut to fit the stair width on site with a straightedge and utility knife.
