Foam mini roller covers for finish work on smooth surfaces. Unlike a woven or knit fabric cover, a foam sleeve carries no nap and sheds no lint, so it lays down a tight, uniform film with very little stipple - the reason painters reach for foam when the goal is a sprayed-looking coat from a roller.

Covers in this size slip onto standard mini roller frames and are sized for the work a 9 in. roller cannot do cleanly: cabinet doors and drawer fronts, trim and jambs, shelving, furniture and touch-ups. Foam holds less material than a fabric cover, so the technique is thinner coats and more passes, which is exactly what enamels and clear finishes want.

Supplied as a multi-pack of covers. Foam is difficult to wash out completely once a coating has set in the cells, so most trade users treat these as consumables - a fresh cover per colour or per coat rather than a cleaning job at the end of the day.
