Solid pine casing in the #OW327 profile, factory-primed and ready for a finish coat. Casing is the trim that covers the gap between a door or window jamb and the surrounding drywall or plaster, hiding the shim space and rough opening while giving the opening a finished edge.

The stock is milled from finger-jointed or solid softwood, which takes fasteners cleanly and can be cut, coped and mitered with standard trim saws. The primer coat seals the wood, shows up sanding scratches and glue squeeze-out before topcoat, and reduces the number of paint coats needed on the wall.

Casing is typically installed with finish nails or 15- to 18-gauge brads into the jamb edge and framing, with joints glued at the miters and nail holes filled before painting.
