A solid core two-panel interior door slab, sized to the common 36 in. x 80 in. opening and milled to standard interior thickness. The two-panel face is a traditional profile that suits both older housing stock and new residential work.

Solid core construction gives the slab meaningful weight and a dense feel in use, which reduces sound transmission between rooms compared with a hollow core door and makes the slab less prone to drumming or flexing. The added mass means hinges should be sized accordingly and the jamb properly shimmed and fastened.

The slab ships unmachined, so hinge gains, the lockset bore and the latch mortise are cut on site to match the existing jamb and hardware. Edges can be trimmed modestly for fit, and the face takes paint or stain depending on the surface material.
