Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) wall panel, a rigid sheet of polyester resin reinforced with glass fiber, used as a washable finish surface over drywall, plywood or masonry. The panel resists moisture, staining and impact better than painted gypsum, which is why it has become the standard interior lining for rooms that get hosed, scrubbed or splashed.

Panels are installed with a notched-trowel application of FRP adhesive and finished with matching plastic or aluminum trim - inside corners, outside corners and division bars - which cover the panel edges and allow for expansion. Cutting is done with a fine-tooth circular saw blade, jigsaw or carbide scoring tool, and fasteners or rivets are sometimes added at the perimeter while the adhesive cures.

The face is a hard, non-porous surface that cleans with detergent and water and does not absorb grease or odors, so the sheet can be wiped down repeatedly without breaking down the finish.
