PERMACOLOR is LATICRETE's high-performance cement grout for ceramic tile, porcelain and stone work, supplied as a dry powder in a factory-pigmented bag. The powder is blended with portland cement, graded aggregate, polymers and pigment, so the installer mixes it with clean water alone - no latex additive is added on site. LATICRETE describes the cured joint as dense and hard, with improved stain resistance for a cement-based grout and consistent color from bag to bag.

It is a fast-setting grout, which shortens the window between grouting and the first sponge wash and lets a floor be returned to foot traffic sooner than a conventional cement grout. The manufacturer lists it for floors and walls in joint widths of 1/16 in. to 1/2 in., in interior and exterior work and in both residential and commercial settings, so one grout covers most of the joint sizes encountered on a job.

Midnight Black is one of the pigmented colors offered in the line. As with any pigmented cement grout, consistent water measurement, uniform mixing and a disciplined clean-up sequence are what keep the finished joint even in tone; dark colors show variation in mixing water and cleaning technique more readily than mid-tone grays.
