A right-hand end cap closes off the open end of a run of residential gutter, keeping water inside the trough and directing it toward the outlet. Right- and left-hand caps are mirrored parts, named for the end of the gutter they fit when the run is viewed from the ground, so runs that terminate at both ends take one of each.

The cap is finished in white to match common white gutter and trim, and installs by slipping over the cut end of the gutter and sealing the joint with gutter sealant, with rivets or screws used where a mechanical hold is wanted. Sold individually.
