Primed pine board stocked for trim and casing work where the finished surface will be painted. The factory-applied primer coat seals the softwood face and edges, giving paint a uniform base and cutting down on the number of coats needed once the board is installed.

Pine works easily with hand and power tools, holds fasteners without pre-drilling in most cases, and takes a clean edge when routed or chamfered. Cut ends and any face damage should be touched up with primer before the finish coat so the exposed wood is not left bare.

Sold as an individual board in nominal dimensions; actual surfaced sizes are smaller than the nominal call-out, as with all dimensional softwood.
