1 in. x 8 in. x 16 ft. Primed Pine Board
Primed pine board is a solid softwood trim board that arrives with a factory-applied coat of primer on the faces and edges, ready for finish paint after installation. The primer seals the wood, evens out the surface and cuts down the coats of topcoat needed on the job.
Pine takes fasteners and hand tools easily, holds a crisp cut edge, and can be ripped, mitered or coped on site without splitting when handled with care. Nominal one-by stock in a nominal eight-inch width is a common choice for fascia, rake, frieze and wide casing work where a single piece covers the run.
Like any wood trim, it is intended for painted applications and should be back-primed and end-sealed where it will be exposed to weather, with cut ends coated before the board is fastened in place.
