Alliance Gator Super Sand is a polymeric jointing sand for filling the joints between concrete pavers, wet cast slabs and similar hardscape units. It is a calibrated sand blended with polymer binders: swept dry into clean, dry joints, compacted, then activated with a light misting of water so the binders set and bind the sand grains into a firm but slightly flexible joint.

Once cured, the joint resists washout from rain and irrigation, discourages weed growth and burrowing insects, and holds the paver field tight instead of letting loose sand migrate out under traffic and weather. The Super Sand line is intended for traditional applications over an open-graded or bedding-sand base with joints in the normal patio and walkway range, and is finished in a slate grey tone that reads as a neutral line between units.

Installation is the same sequence as ordinary joint sand with the addition of the water activation step. Surfaces and joints must be completely dry before sweeping so the polymers do not trigger early on the paver faces, and the finished sand level is held slightly below the paver top or chamfer so the cured joint is not in direct contact with foot traffic or tires.
