A door viewer, or peephole, is a small optical fitting installed through an entry door so the occupant can identify a caller before opening. The barrel passes through a bored hole in the door, with a wide-angle lens on the exterior side and an eyepiece that threads onto it from the interior, clamping the two halves together on the door faces.

This unit is sized for a 1/2 in. bore and is finished in satin nickel to match common lockset and hinge finishes. Installation needs only a drill and bit of the matching diameter; the threaded body accommodates typical residential door thicknesses and is tightened by hand or with a screwdriver blade in the eyepiece slots.
