Edge banding is the thin strip used to conceal the raw, exposed edge of plywood, particleboard or MDF panels so a cut sheet reads as a finished part. This roll is supplied in a white finish to match white melamine and painted casework, and comes in a continuous coil that can be cut to the length of each panel edge as the work is fitted.

Banding of this width suits nominal 3/4 in. panel stock, the common thickness for cabinet boxes, closet systems, shelving and countertop substrate. The strip is applied to the panel edge, pressed down along its length, then trimmed and eased at the corners and long edges so the transition to the face is flush.

Buying edging on a long roll keeps waste low on production runs, since each piece is cut from the coil rather than drawn from fixed lengths.
