This is pattern #6 in a white finish, ready to install with minimal preparation and a coat of finish paint once nail holes are filled. The profile has a flat back and a lower rabbet or flat land that sits against the face of the base, so it registers cleanly and hides minor variation in the board below.

Cuts and fits with standard trim tools: miter the outside corners, cope the inside corners against the profile for a joint that stays tight through seasonal movement, and fasten with finish or brad nails into the base and studs.
