Light-gauge steel angle formed from galvanized sheet into a 90-degree L profile with two equal legs. The bent corner gives the piece stiffness along its length, which is why angle is used for edging, corner reinforcement and trim in steel-framed construction.

The zinc coating on galvanized sheet steel resists corrosion during construction and in damp interior conditions, so the piece can be installed without additional painting. Angle in this weight is cut with metal snips, an abrasive chop saw or a shear and fastened with self-drilling screws, pins or welds depending on the assembly.

Supplied as individual lengths, so pieces can be cut to fit on site and scrap kept to a minimum.
