#16 11/16 in. x 2-1/4 in. x 84 in. Primed Colonial Casing
Colonial-profile casing supplied primed and ready for finish paint. Casing is the flat trim that covers the joint between a door or window jamb and the adjacent wall surface, hiding the shim space and rough framing edge while giving the opening a finished reveal.
The colonial profile is a traditional stepped and curved face, the most common residential casing pattern in the Northeast, so it matches existing trim in most older housing stock and pairs with colonial base and stool. The factory primer seals the face and edges, takes topcoat with minimal raising of the grain, and lets small nail holes and mitre joints be filled and sanded before painting.
The 84 in. length is cut for standard interior door legs, with head casing taken from a second piece or from longer stock.
