Hip and ridge cap shingles are pre-cut, pre-formed asphalt shingle pieces made for finishing the ridge line and hip seams of a shingled roof. Each piece bends over the peak without cracking and covers the last course of field shingles on both slopes, closing the most exposed joint on the roof.

This bundle is the Rustic Redwood colour, a blended red-brown intended to be matched to the field shingles on the same roof. Cap pieces are laid one at a time, overlapped to the marked exposure line, and fastened so each nail is covered by the next piece.

Coverage is sold in linear feet of finished ridge and hip, so quantity is taken off by measuring the total ridge plus hip length rather than by roof area.
