A ready-mixed acrylic mastic for setting ceramic tile over prepared interior surfaces. Unlike thin-set mortar, mastic arrives pre-blended in the pail, so there is no powder to mix, no slaking period and no working-life clock once the lid comes off - the pail can be closed and used again on the next day's work.

Mastic is applied with a notched trowel and cures by air drying as the water in the emulsion leaves the adhesive. It is tacky on contact, which holds tile on vertical surfaces without slipping and makes it a common choice for wall work such as kitchen backsplashes and tub surrounds. Because it cures by drying rather than chemical hydration, it is intended for interior locations with limited or intermittent water exposure rather than continuously wet installations.
