Primed pine board in a nominal 1x4 profile, supplied in an 8 ft. length. The factory-applied primer coat seals the wood face and edges so the board arrives ready for finish paint after light sanding and caulking, which cuts a step out of trim and casing work on site.

Softwood boards of this type are surfaced four sides and sold at nominal thickness and width, so the finished dimensions are slightly under the stated size. Pine takes fasteners without splitting when nailed near the ends with a finish nailer and holds a crisp edge where it is coped or mitred.

Intended for painted work rather than clear or stained finishes, since the primer conceals grain and any finger joints or patching in the blank.
