A two-panel interior door slab in the standard 1-3/8 in. residential thickness, built with a solid core rather than a hollow cardboard honeycomb. The added mass gives the slab more heft on the hinges, better sound damping between rooms and a more solid feel when it latches.

The two-panel face is a traditional stile-and-rail layout, with flat or raised panels set between the vertical stiles and horizontal rails. The narrow 18 in. width suits closets, pantries, linen cupboards, powder rooms and other tight openings where a full-width door will not swing clear.

Supplied as a blank slab, so hinge gains, the lockset bore and the latch mortise are cut on site to match the existing jamb and hardware. The slab takes paint or stain depending on its face material and can be trimmed modestly at the stiles and rails for fit.
