2 in. x 10 in. x 10 ft. Scaffold Plank
Solid sawn softwood plank supplied in a heavy plank dimension for use as staging and platform material on jobsites. It is sold as a single piece, rough or surfaced depending on the mill run, and is handled like any other dimensional softwood: cut, drilled and fastened with standard carpentry tools.
Planks of this width and thickness are a common jobsite consumable, used flat as walking and working surfaces and edgewise as blocking or bracing. Species, grade stamp and any certification marking should be read off the individual piece and confirmed against the requirements of the work being performed.
Softwood exposed to weather will check, cup and grey over time. Store planks flat and off the ground, stickered for air movement, and inspect each piece for splits, large knots and damage before it is put back into service.
