A steel entry door slab in a 2/0 by 6/8 opening size, supplied in the reverse hand so the door swings opposite the standard configuration. Hollow metal doors of this type are built from formed steel face sheets over an internal core, with reinforced areas for hinges and lockset preparation.

Steel slabs hold their shape better than wood in service, resisting warping, swelling and shrinkage as humidity changes, which keeps the gap at the head and jambs consistent over time. The factory finish is normally a primer coat intended to be top-coated with an appropriate paint once the door is hung.

Because handing determines which side the hinges fall on and which way the leaf swings, confirm the swing direction against the opening and the existing frame before installation.
