A flush interior door slab with a flat, featureless face, built up over a solid core and skinned in medium-density fiberboard. The slab arrives factory primed and ready for sanding and finish paint, so no sealing of raw MDF is needed on site.

MDF faces have no grain, knots or telegraphing seams, which gives a flat modern face that finishes smooth under paint. The solid core adds mass compared with a hollow-core slab, which helps deaden sound between rooms and gives the slab a more substantial feel in operation.

Supplied as a slab only, with no bore, hinge mortises or jamb, so hinge gains and lock prep are cut to match the existing frame or a new jamb set. Standard interior thickness suits typical residential hinges, lock sets and bore kits.
