Pattern #27 is a primed moulding profile supplied in long lengths for interior trim work. The factory primer coat seals the face and edges so the piece arrives ready for light sanding, filling and a finish coat of paint, which removes the step of priming on site.

Mouldings in this class are milled to a consistent profile along the full length, so runs can be butted or scarf-jointed end to end and coped or mitered at corners without the profile shifting. The long stock length lets a run cross a typical room with fewer joints to fill and sand.

Fastened with finish nails or a brad gun into framing or blocking, with the heads set and puttied before painting.
