Furring channel clips are the small spring-steel connectors used to tie hat-shaped furring channel to the carrying channel in a suspended or direct-hung ceiling assembly. The clip hooks over the carrying channel and its legs are bent up around the flanges of the furring channel, locking the two members together without wire tying or screws.

Clips install by hand in seconds, which keeps the pace up on large ceiling grids where hundreds of intersections have to be made. Once the furring channel is clipped off, gypsum board or other ceiling panels screw directly to the channel face.

Supplied as a bag of loose clips for stocking on the job cart alongside the channel, hanger wire and framing screws.
