Liquid-applied waterproofing only performs as well as the reinforcement buried in it. This is Laticrete's non-woven reinforcing fabric, the sheet goods component that gets embedded between coats of a latex-based membrane so the cured film spans hairline movement instead of tearing over it. The wide roll covers full-coverage field work; the narrow roll is sized for corners, coves, changes of plane and floor-to-wall transitions where the membrane is worked into a inside angle.

Per Laticrete's own data sheet, the fabric is required for full-fabric applications of 9235 Waterproofing Membrane and for Blue 92 Anti-Fracture Membrane, and is required at coves, corners and changes of plane when using Hydro Barrier. It can also be added to Hydro Ban, Air & Water Barrier, Watertight Floor N' Wall and 9237 Waterproofing Membrane wherever an installation needs extra strength.

Installation is the same on either width: brush or roll on the membrane liquid, lay the fabric into the wet film, and work it flat with the brush or roller so it is fully saturated and free of wrinkles before the next coat. Once cured, the assembly is tiled directly. Refer to the data sheet for the specific membrane being used for substrate, cure and coverage requirements.
