Oak Rectangle Rosette
A rosette is the small wood block that mounts flat to a wall and gives a handrail a finished point of termination. The rail end is fitted against the face of the rosette, so the joint reads as an intentional detail rather than a raw cut butted into drywall, and the block spreads the fastening load over a wider bearing surface at the wall.
This one is milled from oak in a rectangular profile with a shaped face, matching the oak balusters, newels and handrail profiles used in traditional stair and landing work. Supplied unfinished, it takes stain and clear coat the same way the rest of an oak stair package does, so colour can be matched on site.
Key Features
- Solid oak construction for staining or clear finishing to match oak handrail, newels and balusters
- Rectangular profile with a shaped face, suited to traditional and colonial stair details
- Flat back sits tight to the wall surface for a clean handrail termination
- Provides a wider bearing and fastening surface than a rail end fixed directly to the wall
- Accepts the cut end of a handrail, which can be scribed or returned into the face of the block
- Supplied unfinished so stain and topcoat can be matched to the balance of the stair package
- Sold individually by the piece
